Açaí isn't that of a big of a deal
While I was in USA, I heard much about açaí, that it was a great antioxidant.
But I was making some more researches in antioxidants, and I found out açaí isn't that of a big of a deal.
Here is the antioxidant fruits, from the most powerful antioxidant to the less:
acerola> mango> strawberry> grapes> açaí> guava> mulberry> graviola> passion fruit> cupuaçu> pineapple
Source: http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&pid=S0103-84782006000400037&lng=en&nrm=iso
I believe acerola ranked first because of vitamin C.
In another study, the results was:
pomegranate juice>red wine>Concord grape juice>blueberry juice>black cherry juice, açaí juice, cranberry juice>orange juice, iced tea beverages, apple juice.
Source: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18220345
Both sources I found from a quote in Wikipedia:
